The entire project is based on the vineyards and at the center of all the technical
choices made is PINOT NERO, a noble grape variety from beyond the Alps, known throughout
the world for its great red wines, long-lived and elegant and for its highly prized
sparkling wines, obtained with the classic or champenoise method.
Our vineyards have been created in compliance with the morphology of the territory
and the native characteristics of our soils, carrying out conservative preparatory
work (burglary), without earth movements, excavations and substantial interventions
on the soil profile.
The vineyards have two different planting systems: 2.20 x 0.80 meters in the 2019
plot (density 5,680 vines per hectare), 2.40 x 80 meters (density 5,208 vines per
hectare) in those of 2021 and 2022.
The clones of Pinot Noir chosen and cultivated by us are: 777, 114, 667, 521. Among
these, 114 and 667 are more suitable for sparkling wine and the preparation of white
and rosé wines; 521 and 777 are the great classics for fine red wines.
The rootstocks we have adopted are: GRAVESAC, KOBER 5BB, 1103 P, all feet of good
vigor, capable of exploring the soils in depth and delaying grape ripening a little.
