Partino is a village in the province of Pisa whose origins are documented as early
as 1260: " ... castle of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, situated on a fertile hill
of vines and olive trees, whose ground is a whitish sandstone, admirable because
with etching it appears ferrous with a mixture of copper ".
In the area there is a strong peasant tradition for the cultivation of olives and
vines still carried out today largely with manual methods.
